A handful of places in the area say plainly that anyone can come. Cafe Espressya on ul. Orłowska in Gdynia-Orłowo began its chess evenings in October 2026, with blitz at seven minutes plus five seconds and a run of further evenings dated through December. In Gdańsk-Suchanino the library branch on ul. Paderewskiego keeps a chess circle with an instructor on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, for teenagers and adults, newcomers and stronger players alike.

The Mały Kack library in Gdynia has run free weekly workshops for children, teenagers and adults on Tuesdays, and the municipal library on ul. Kaszubska in Wejherowo holds a monthly board-game meeting where, by its own report, chess and draughts take most of the tables. Klub Szachowy Sg1 in Wejherowo also lets guests join its trainings after letting the club know, for a fee per session.
