School teams and pupils’ chess 4

Some chess in the area is played only by the pupils of one school. The 5th Liceum on ul. Polanki in Gdańsk holds an open championship and a school blitz championship and has hosted a team tournament of Tricity schools, and the chess team of the 2nd Liceum in Sopot reports a first place in the Sopot team championship and a chess-puzzle contest held inside the school.

In Rumia, the ZSO school complex on ul. Stoczniowców plays a director’s cup each spring, about thirty pupils over seven Swiss rounds, and Primary School No. 24 in Gdańsk has weekly classes by Szachowa Edukacja for its own pupils. These entries sit apart from the public clubs because each belongs to a school and is run mainly for its own pupils.
